This is a good thing!
Regardless of whether you can say "I <3 DD" or not, events like this bring new players to the ever-shrinking crowd of table-top gamers. We should all pitch in and support this.

Want to get people to realize that D&D players are NOT a bunch of murdering, raping scum-bags that rarely leave their momma's basement?
Yeah? Then contact your local library and volunteer to DM a game on November 15th. Do something good, and spark the imagination of young minds.

Interesting. I'll see about whether my local library will accept this sort of thing or not. I live in JAYSUS Country, so these sort of charitable democratic processes can't be taken for granted unless they involve old people and benches.
ReplyDeleteWhether or not Wyatt "Atomic Rage" Salazar can uplift the perceived image of the gaming community though, is another matter entirely.
I'll have to see what I can do. These are awesome events and it is great that WOTC is going through the effort to sponsor this.
